Reading Rewind: 2018 Top Picks

In 2018, I was new to the concept of reading regularly and extensively. I didn’t have a structured TBR list, as I am very much a mood reader, and as such took the opportunity to read books that I have wanted to read for a while.

These books are ones that really stood out for me, be it because of their writing, themes, portrayal of relationships between characters, or even if they made me cry.

How I Managed to Read More in 2018

I imagine like most people, high school took the fun out of reading. You were assigned a book you weren’t particularly interested in, and then proceeded to comb through every detail of imagery, symbolism, and author’s intent. Right?

I very much felt this way after leaving high school, and especially with starting university, I felt I didn’t have time to invest into reading anyway.
